Job Summary
Production Quality Inspector – Overnight Shift responsible for quality checks to ensure product meets customer specifications and company requirements. Monitor injection process and product for defects per SOPs and ensure compliance to GMP, SQF and product safety practices. Maintain accurate records of quality reports per SOPs. Inspect packing, perform sampling and testing of products per quality standards traceable to accredited methods (ANSI, ISO, NIST, Mil E, etc.). Must comply with safety, quality, customer, ISO, SQF and regulatory requirements and report concerns or suggest improvements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education/experience
- Excellent attendance
- Strong math skills with some knowledge of graphing on quality charts
- Strong communication skills
- Able to work independently with some supervision
- Able to read and interpret product drawings
- Legible handwriting and accurate record-keeping
- Available to work overtime as needed
- Able to use measuring instruments such as vacuum chamber, gram scale, dial calipers, color light box, torque gauge and Sheffield gauge
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Capable of physical mobility including walking, sitting, bending, twisting, standing, pushing, pulling and lifting/moving (up to 35 pounds periodically)
- Capable of visual acuity to include distinguishing color variation and detecting defects
- Able to work safely in a production environment
