Job Summary
Oversee daily manufacturing operations in a plant setting, supervising production staff to meet output, quality, and efficiency targets. Check machinery performance, report maintenance needs, and drive improvements to reduce downtime. Train, supervise, and evaluate staff; manage inventory of materials such as sheets and inks; ensure data entry and retrieval of production information. Interpret job specifications, adjust workflows to resolve issues, and implement process improvements. Handle shift transitions and prepare performance evaluations, addressing disciplinary issues as needed. Analyze production reports to troubleshoot issues, reduce costs, and prevent delays, while maintaining safety compliance and adherence to company procedures.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of supervisory/management experience
- ability to manage multiple projects
- ability to work quickly and efficiently
- high school diploma or GED (preferred)
- ability to motivate and develop direct reports
- experience in coordinating manufacturing activities and ensuring safety/compliance
