Job Summary
Direct and oversee development of the integrated master schedule from contract award through engineering, procurement, fabrication, assembly, testing, trials, delivery, and warranty support. Maximize financial returns on capital resources through effective schedule optimization, resource leveling, and program execution planning. Plan, direct, and coordinate all scheduling, progress measurement, and reporting aspects of shipbuilding and marine construction operations. Establish and maintain the work breakdown structure, master and detailed production schedules, performance metrics, and reporting systems for all assigned projects. Review schedule impacts of major contracts, subcontract agreements, and change orders in conjunction with Corporate Legal Counsel and Program Management prior to execution. Oversee earned value management, progress measurement, and schedule risk analysis across engineering, procurement, production, and commissioning activities to ensure successful vessel delivery. Interview, hire, develop, and retain planning and scheduling personnel supporting shipbuilding and construction programs. Lead strategic planning efforts related to scheduling systems, planning process improvement, workforce development, and capital investments affecting schedule capability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible planning, scheduling, or project controls experience in shipbuilding, vessel construction, heavy industrial construction, offshore fabrication, or marine project management
- Demonstrated experience developing and managing integrated master schedules for large, complex newbuild vessel programs and multidiscipline project teams
- Proficiency with scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and earned value management principles
Desired Qualifications
- PMP or PMI-SP certification preferred
