Production Planning Engineer

Job Summary
Production Planner to drive end-to-end supply chain execution, capacity optimization, and production scheduling to ensure seamless product delivery. Role interacts with internal Product Engineering, Sales Operations, and Finance, and collaborates with external foundries and OSAT partners. Candidates should be highly analytical, proactive, and capable of data-driven decision-making, with a strong focus on continuous process improvement in a fast-paced semiconductor environment. Responsibilities include mastering weekly/monthly production plans for wafer fabrication, bumping, probing, assembly, and testing based on forecasts and capacity constraints; monitoring WIP at foundries/OSAT to align schedules with commitments; coordinating capacity allocation with vendors; maintaining and improving ERP data and data integrity; building Excel-based simulation tools (Power Query or Solver) for scheduling and scenario analysis; monitoring KPIs such as cycle time and yield, and defining safety stock and managing RMA processes to mitigate risks. The role requires excellent communication and negotiation skills and a track record of working across internal teams and external manufacturing partners.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (required); Master’s preferred
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in production planning, production control, or supply chain management within semiconductor industry (IC design house environment)
- Proven experience managing subcontract logistics and capacity with major foundries and OSAT partners
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Power Query, complex formulas) or optimization tools (e.g., Solver)
- Strong working knowledge of semiconductor ERP systems and supply chain simulation concepts
- Exceptional negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills in local and international contexts
- Ability to solve complex, multi-variable logistical problems independently
- Experience building advanced Excel-based simulation tools and conducting capacity planning analyses
- Experience defining safety stock levels, managing RMA processes, and mitigating supply chain risks
