Production Planning/BOM Specialist

Job Summary
Serve as the primary point of contact for customer production planning, schedule changes, and engineering change requests. Coordinate production plan adjustments, maintain EDI and MES systems, and track key performance metrics to ensure accurate system data and timely execution. Manage SAP Material Master data, monitor engineering orders, and prepare production performance reports for weekly, monthly, and ad hoc review. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system enhancements, continuous improvement initiatives, and special projects. This role operates within MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain LLC, supporting plant operations through data analysis and process optimization in an office setting with occasional overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or related field)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret and analyze data to support production planning and operational decisions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments
- Willingness to learn ERP/MRP systems such as SAP and MES
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Overtime as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Internship, co-op, or project experience in manufacturing, supply chain, production planning, or engineering
- Exposure to ERP, MRP, SAP, MES, or similar business systems
- Understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM) structures and engineering change processes
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement principles
- Experience working with large data sets and reporting tools
- Automotive manufacturing experience through internships, projects, or coursework
- Familiarity with engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Korean language skills
