Job Summary
Production Planning & Scheduling Manager responsible for owning the master production schedule across departments, balancing demand vs. capacity in a high-mix environment, leading planning and purchasing teams, optimizing schedules based on material, labor, and machine availability, identifying bottlenecks, collaborating cross-functionally to support quoting and delivery metrics, and monitoring schedule attainment, backlog, and production efficiency. Requires 5+ years in production planning/scheduling, 3+ years of leadership, ERP/MRP expertise, experience in high-mix low-volume environments, knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100, and ability to read prints and understand manufacturing workflows.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in production planning/scheduling in a manufacturing environment
- 3+ years of leadership experience
- Strong background in ERP/MRP systems and data integrity
- Experience in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing (job shop preferred)
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 / AS9100 environments
- Ability to read prints and understand manufacturing workflows
- Proven ability to solve problems, manage priorities, and lead teams
