Job Summary
Plan, schedule, and prioritize job orders using the MRP system while determining realistic lead times for Customer Service. Resolve labor and material shortages, backlogs, and schedule interruptions by collaborating with department Leads and aligning deliverables with Quality, Procurement, and Shipping teams. Monitor subcontract job orders to ensure due dates are met, research inventory discrepancies, and analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements. Participate in daily production meetings and the weekly Anticipated Shortage meeting to support operational goals and deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years working in a manufacturing, inventory control, or scheduling environment
- Prior experience as a Production Planner in manufacturing
- General knowledge of MRP and manufacturing principles
- Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with all levels of employees
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure while adhering to deadlines
