Job Summary
Production Planner capable of planning and scheduling material processes to align with the production schedule; monitor and resolve material issues; investigate delays using root-cause analysis of systems (MRP, Kanban, heijunka) to improve material consistency; coordinate ECNs and ensure timely material delivery; develop reporting for production staff and management; collaborate with production teams to improve MRP accuracy and optimize intercompany material ordering; requires strong communication, detail orientation, problem-solving, and time-management skills; formal education in Mechanical Technology/Operations/Manufacturing Engineering and experience with SolidWorks and ERP/MRP systems. The role emphasizes planning, inventory control, logistics, and cross-functional coordination in a family-oriented company setting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of Mechanical Technician / Technologist Program or Material / Operations Management or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
- Project Management Courses considered an asset
- Experience in SolidWorks suite of products
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems
