Job Summary

Manage production planning for designated assembly lines by monitoring schedules, creating release orders, and adjusting plans based on SIOP processes. Support assembly lines, communicate changes to affected departments, and escalate customer requests outside agreed parameters. Work cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams while maintaining alignment with internal and external customers. Prioritize daily tasks in a high-pressure environment, utilizing MRP knowledge and SAP proficiency to drive production efficiency. Requires a valid forklift license and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, logistics, engineering or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Thorough knowledge of production, supply chain, inventory, and planning principles, practices, nomenclature, and procedures
  • Sales order to revenue realization process
  • Integrated enterprise resource management systems
  • Experience working with manufacturing-based technology, processes and principles, including Lean manufacturing and project management practices
  • Understanding of influences on costs, gross margin, quality, and delivery
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Enterprise resource planning (ERP)/material resource planning system (MRP), SAP
  • Strong in MRP Knowledge and Production Planning and/or Material Control background
  • Good understanding of Production/Assembly/Materials Control/Marketing/Customer Service, and Engineering and how they interface with one another
  • Knowledge of production orders, sales orders
  • Knowledge of S&OP and basic financial impacts
  • Ability to problem-solve
  • Ability to concentrate on tasks, make decisions and work calmly and effectively in a high-pressure, deadline oriented environment
  • Ability to prioritize work daily, but be flexible to change as priorities dictate changes
  • Willingness to be flexible with time and adjust to a changing work environment
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships, both internally and externally, while maintaining a client service orientation
  • Ability to use sound judgment and discretion in dealing with highly confidential information

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working with manufacturing-based technology, processes and principles, including Lean manufacturing and project management practices, and understanding of influences on costs, gross margin, quality, and delivery preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and an enterprise resource planning (ERP)/material resource planning system (MRP), SAP preferred
