Production Planner

Job Summary
Create detailed job tickets and production recipe sheets for manufacturing teams. Allocate raw materials and communicate shortages to Purchasing. Review production requirements to ensure materials, labor, and equipment availability. Develop efficient production plans that maximize equipment utilization and group similar jobs to reduce costs. Collaborate with Estimating, Production, and Purchasing to coordinate workflows and support on-time delivery. Identify process improvements and cost savings while maintaining quality standards. This role reports to the Estimating Supervisor within TC Transcontinental's Winnipeg manufacturing team.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in the printing industry.
- Strong understanding of printing products, production processes, and manufacturing workflows.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency with standard computer applications and office software.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator is considered an asset.
