Job Summary

Production Planner needed in an automotive parts manufacturing setting to plan and manage production for multiple products and components. Responsibilities include reviewing and updating daily production schedules based on customer orders, validating customer portals, serving as logistics contact for OEM customers, issuing work orders, developing 24-week production plans to balance production and inventory, determining optimal batch sizes, selecting which production lines to operate, maintaining and improving MRP system parameters, creating BOMs in the MRP system, ensuring inventory accuracy, and driving process improvements. Requires a Bachelor's degree in business/operations management or equivalent experience; 3–5 years of production planning in high-volume manufacturing; knowledge of MRP systems and JD Edwards assets; strong Excel and MS Office skills; bilingual English/French; excellent teamwork, communication, and ability to work under pressure.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (Operations Management profile) or equivalent experience
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in production planning within a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of the automotive industry is an asset
  • Knowledge of the JD Edwards ERP system is an asset
  • Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
  • Strong mathematical skills and aptitude
  • In-depth knowledge of MRP systems
  • Bilingual in English and French, both spoken and written
  • Must be an excellent team player
  • Must demonstrate strong logical thinking skills
  • Must be able to work under pressure and effectively manage time and priorities
  • Must possess excellent communication skills
