Job Summary
Plan and prepare manufacturing production schedules and departmental workflows, initiating supply plans for components and finished products to satisfy customer demand and inventory levels. Act as the primary contact between customer service and production to manage order due dates, coordinate material supply, and adjust ship dates when deviations occur. Initiate work orders with appropriate lot sizes to ensure efficient production and maintain adequate inventory levels while monitoring planned order execution through daily data reviews. Analyze current inventory for excess and obsolete items, review cell capacities, and develop short and long-term capacity plans to adjust priorities and lot sizes. Recommend and implement new procedures to improve operational effectiveness and serve as a backup for other planning functions as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Materials Management or related field
- Internship experience
- HS diploma
- significant relevant experience
- 4 years of planning, production and materials management experience
- experience in an MRP II environment
