Job Summary
Production Planner supports the scheduling and coordination of manufacturing activities to ensure timely production. Responsibilities include creating/updating daily and weekly production schedules from orders and inventory, setting priority for production teams, coordinating with purchasing, inventory, and production, tracking open work orders, communicating schedule updates, supporting inventory/matl tracking in ERP/MRP, and assisting with basic reporting and documentation. This entry-level role focuses on learning standard planning processes and tools while contributing to continuous improvement in a family-owned manufacturing environment that builds pontoons.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-3 years previous planning/inventory control experience
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes or materials preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and basic computer systems
- Experience working with ERP or scheduling software
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to changing priorities
