Job Summary

Develop and maintain detailed production plans by aligning demand, material availability, and capacity constraints to ensure realistic shop floor execution. Translate program requirements into actionable schedules, manage work orders and purchase orders, and coordinate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Engineering teams. Monitor material availability to identify shortages, expedite orders, and adjust schedules to mitigate supply risk while driving on-time delivery through recovery plans. Support new product introduction by planning early builds and prototype schedules, and analyze capacity constraints to improve throughput. Maintain ERP/MRP data integrity and communicate status and risks to leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or similar (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations
  • Experience managing work orders and supporting purchase order processes within ERP/MRP systems (Deltek Costpoint or similar)
  • Strong understanding of production workflows, BOMs, and routing structures
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and adjust plans in a dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in Excel or similar tools for planning and data analysis
  • Strong communication and coordination skills across cross-functional teams
  • Office and production environments

Desired Qualifications

  • Aerospace/defense or other highly regulated industry experience (AS9100 environment)
  • Experience supporting NPI and low-rate initial production (LRIP) builds
  • Familiarity with capacity planning, constraint management, and finite scheduling concepts
  • Understanding of supply chain constraints, lead-time drivers, and procurement workflows
  • Experience with demand planning, forecasting, or S&OP processes
