Production Planner

Job Summary
Coordinate cutting, processing, and fabrication equipment to meet customer specifications and delivery timelines by reviewing work orders, selecting machines, and optimizing production sequences. Lay out material, monitor job sets, and finalize outside processing while managing contract account stock levels and creating stock transfer orders. Monitor maintenance requirements, assist with quality control recalls and samples, and resolve paperwork and material issues with shop floor personnel. Maintain order changes folders, finalize MP's, and back-up shipment lists for large-volume customers. Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards, OSHA, and EPA regulations while upholding safety policies and a 5S/Lean culture.
Required Qualifications
- Related experience, and skill and proficiency in a semi-professional occupation, or a specialized operations function
- Advanced use of Microsoft Office software and Employer Resource Planning tools
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus
- Full Compliance to all Safety Policies and Procedures while promoting a culture of safety awareness
- Actively contributes to the achievement of the Company's goals for safety, security, compliance to company policies and procedures, OSHA Compliance, EPA Compliance, and Housekeeping 5S/Lean Culture
