Job Summary
The Production Planner is responsible for coordinating production workflows, planning and prioritizing operations, and determining resource needs to fulfill production demand. Duties include assigning workers, scheduling shifts, monitoring jobs for on-time completion, gathering output data, and preparing status reports. The role requires proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems and strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with preference given to candidates with further education or certification and familiarity with Lean Manufacturing.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with MRP II (Manufacturing Resource Planning)
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems
- Strong mathematical and statistical abilities
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven experience as a production planner
- Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
Desired Qualifications
- Further education or certification is preferred
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing concepts preferred
- Experience in a factory manufacturing environment preferred
