Job Summary
Production Planner will develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules based on demand, inventory levels, and capacity. Coordinate with manufacturing, purchasing, and distribution teams to ensure alignment across operations; balance production efficiency with customer delivery requirements; monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to address delays. Analyze demand forecasts, order trends, and inventory levels to ensure accurate planning; partner with procurement to ensure raw materials are available to meet production schedules; minimize stockouts and excess inventory through proactive planning. Maintain accurate production data, schedules, and order status in ERP (NetSuite or similar); track key planning metrics such as on-time delivery and schedule adherence; generate reports for leadership. Serve as a liaison between production, customer service, purchasing, and leadership; support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning processes and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of production planning or scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
