Job Summary

Production Planner responsible for balancing material inventories with highly variable demand in an Orlando, FL manufacturing environment. The role partners with program managers, buyers, order fulfillment, and outage support to ensure delivery commitments, drive problem resolution, and lead process improvement initiatives. Responsibilities include demand and supply review in S&OP, oversight of MRP controller assignments, rough cut capacity planning, inventory control for OEM service parts, monitoring demand accuracy and stock disposition, facilitating make/buy determinations with PLM and factories, inputting item master maintenance, designing BOM strategies for engineer-to-order and other scopes, contributing to ECN processes, creating monthly inventory forecasts for KPI reporting, developing material consolidation strategies, and providing quarterly recommendations on slow-moving inventory. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, SAP knowledge, ability to analyze variances, and strong analytical and communication skills to interact with stakeholders across the organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field; or at least 5 years of experience in material planning, production control, and inventory management in a manufacturing environment
  • APICS training or certification is desirable
  • Knowledge of SAP is required
  • Experience with import/export processes and Foreign Trade Zone activities
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and financial skills with the ability to interface across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to analyze and resolve variances between actual and system inventory
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, business materials, and regulations; write reports and correspondence; and effectively present information and respond to stakeholders
  • Ability to perform calculations (e.g., percentages, interest, proportions) and apply basic algebra and geometry to solve practical problems and interpret instructions in various formats
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic database systems
