Production Planner

Job Summary
Manage raw material availability by creating purchase orders, resolving inventory discrepancies, and monitoring stock levels through weekly cycle counts. Maintain weekly production schedules by adjusting quantities based on forecasts and inventory targets. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including production supervisors, plant managers, and suppliers, to ensure smooth operations. Support cost-out projects and review internal processes for optimization opportunities. This role requires full-time office attendance Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm in the Chicago, IL office. You will report to the Purchasing Manager and must possess strong communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and experience with ERP systems.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Past experience in buying or scheduling, preferably for a manufacturer
- Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel
- ERP systems, preferably IQMS
- Math proficiency
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be in office Monday through Friday 8am - 4:30pm
- Must be subject to a pre-employment background check
- Must be subject to a physical/drug screen (which includes marijuana)
