Job Summary
Develop, maintain, and monitor the Master Production Schedule (MPS) while leading short-term production scheduling and medium-term capacity planning. Review and schedule customer sales orders to manage due dates, proactively identify risks, and improve delivery performance. Continuously review production plans, capacity, stock levels, and material availability to maintain production flow and customer delivery commitments. Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Sales, and Supply Chain to align production priorities and communicate changes. Maintain accurate planning information using MRP/ERP systems, monitor manufacturing cycle times, and prepare operational reports. Based in Chilca with transportation provided, this role requires 3–5 years of experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment, preferably in heavy industry or a similar industrial operation
- Demonstrated experience in Master Production Scheduling (MPS), production scheduling, capacity planning, order fulfilment and delivery performance
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical capabilities to forecast and plan production requirements
- Proficiency in technical English
- Experience with manufacturing processes and knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and costs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with Operations, Engineering, Sales, Supply Chain, customers and suppliers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic manufacturing environment and quickly adjust production plans in response to changing priorities, constraints and demand
- Must complete a psychometric assessment and pre-employment medical examination, which includes drug and alcohol screening
