Production / Packaging Operator - Day Shift

Job Summary
Operate state-of-the-art packaging equipment, mixers, pumping systems, and tinting machinery while following process orders from beginning to end. Add materials at specified quantities, monitor temperatures and chemical reactions, and record batch information to ensure consistent quality. Perform material handling using forklifts and other equipment, load units for packaging, and prepare finished products for delivery or warehousing. Execute corrective actions when nonconformances occur and participate in confined space entry machine cleaning activities using body harnesses and extraction systems. Read batch tickets, interface with PLC control screens, and solve simple math problems for scale readings and chemical additions. Wear all required PPE, including air-purified respirators, and lift up to 90 pounds throughout the shift.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of experience in manufacturing
- demonstrated mechanical reasoning skills
- 2 year of forklift and shipping experience
- ability to read and complete process orders
- ability to complete safety tests
- ability to solve simple math problems
- ability to understand and communicate in English
- ability to read batch tickets
- ability to operate forklift and other material handling equipment
- ability to operate packaging line
- ability to take corrective actions when nonconformance occurs
- ability to wear all required PPE including air purified respirators
- ability to lift up to 65lbs throughout the shift
- ability to lift up to 90lbs
- ability to push/pull up to 100 - 150 pounds
