Job Summary
Production - Packager/Wrapper performs packaging-related duties on an 8-hour shift (Mon-Fri, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.; some overtime). Responsibilities include lining and padding crates, assembling cartons, wrapping products, inspecting materials and containers at each step, recording weights and dates, marking and labeling containers, recording packaging and order information, removing completed/defective items, sealing containers with glue/fasteners, loading materials into packaging equipment, and cleaning work areas. Requires high school diploma or GED and completion of Nor-Ell training, basic English reading, simple math, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, tolerate heat/humidity, and maintain mobility for physical tasks. Preferred experience in a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of Nor-Ell job training with demonstrated proficiency
- Able to read and understand English
- Able to count and do simple math (primarily addition)
- Able to lift up to 75 lbs
- Able to tolerate high heat and humidity while doing physical activity
- Have free range of motion - bending, stooping, twisting, walking, balancing
