Job Summary
Production Optimization Engineer B at Abbott in Olst leads continuous improvement of pharmaceutical filling/packaging production processes, driving improvements in quality, quantity, efficiency, reliability and cost while ensuring GMP/ISO compliance. You will lead cross-functional teams, troubleshoot issues, represent the Franchise in investment projects, apply Lean Six Sigma tools, perform root cause analyses, and coordinate optimization initiatives across aseptic filling and packaging lines. Requires a technical Bachelor or Master, at least 4 years in a similar role in food/pharma, knowledge of filling/packaging processes, GMP/ISO familiarity, Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred), ownership, collaboration, strong analytical and coordination skills, and proficiency in Dutch and English. This is an on-site role in Olst, Netherlands (five days per week).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master in a relevant technical field
- Min 4 years of experience in a similar role within food or pharma
- Knowledge of filling and packaging processes
- Solid understanding of GMP or ISO quality systems
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma; Green Belt certification preferred
- Demonstrated ownership and collaborative mindset
- Analytical and proactive, strong coordination skills
- Proficient Dutch and English (spoken and written)
- Preferably available full-time (40 hours)
