Job Summary
Operate a wide range of machinery to fabricate, process, and assemble chain components, including grinders, drilling machines, ballizers, power presses, and packaging equipment. Measure quality parameters of assembled and unassembled parts to determine corrective actions and retrieve components from storage to ensure continuous operation. Retrieve and replace parts as needed while maintaining close tolerances and work specifications without requiring set-up skills. Work in any fabrication, processing, assembly, or warehouse section when directed, capable of handling heavy weights and making timely decisions under constraints.
Required Qualifications
- Must have the ability to learn to operate simple production equipment with minimal amount of instruction
- Basic numeric and writing skills
- High level of dexterity
- Flexible nature
- Self-motivated to take ownership of work schedule and quality
- Willing to accept change to support being a Fast – Flexible - Efficient section
- Team player - capable of working with peers and supervisors both inside and outside the section in order to satisfy the needs of internal and external customers
- Able to work in any fabrication, processing, assembly, and warehouse section when and where needed
- Capable of handling heavy weights
