Job Summary
Operate, monitor, and maintain automated or manual equipment to produce finished goods, adjusting dials, valves, and nozzles as needed. Select, measure, and mix materials per predetermined formulas, then inspect parts and products for defects to ensure quality control and pristine appearance. Perform routine preventative maintenance, troubleshoot malfunctions, and report major issues to the supervisor while adhering to OSHA safety guidelines and maintaining a clean work area. Maintain accurate production logs, material usage records, and equipment sheets. Prepare finished products for shipment, verifying order accuracy and compliance with shipping requirements. This full-time 1st shift role at our Avon manufacturing facility includes cross-training opportunities in extrusion, mixing, and shipping.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–3 years of experience operating industrial equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to adjust complex machinery
- Excellent color perception and attention to detail
- Basic math skills for measuring/mixing ratios and computing production rates
- Ability to stand for long periods, perform repetitive motions, and lift/move up to 50 lbs
- Must be comfortable wearing required respiratory and safety gear in a manufacturing environment
- Must live the Dayglo Values Daily by showing Transparency, Trust, Respect, Accountability and a sense of Urgency
- Full-time position, 1st Shift, M-F with potential for overtime as needed to satisfy Customer needs
