Job Summary
Follow detailed process instructions and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure product quality and comply with state and federal feed regulations. Manufacture, package, and load both bulk and packaged feed products to meet daily production schedules while operating mill machinery, forklifts, and loaders. Maintain continuous communication with office staff, co-workers, and managers, and represent IFA positively during interactions with customers, suppliers, and regulatory personnel. Work under physical demands including climbing stairs, repeatedly lifting 55 lb bags, and operating in varying temperature conditions. Assist with detailed record keeping covering all aspects of plant operations.
Required Qualifications
- Good basic math and computer skills
- Detail oriented, self-motivated and able to follow both written and verbal directions
- The ability to work quickly and accurately with minimal supervision
- Ability to operate mill machinery, forklifts and loaders
- The flexibility to work extended hours (overtime) when needed
- Honest, dependable and hard working
- Ability to repeatedly lift and carry 55 lbs bags
- Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment at times
- Must be able to climb stairs and ladders
- Must be able to work in both summer and winter temperature conditions
