Job Summary
Operate forklifts, perform material handling, weigh-up, and packaging duties on extrusion production lines and automated material handling systems. Assist operators during changeovers, unload winders, and inspect finished rolls for non-conforming characteristics. Execute quality testing, stage packaging items, maintain inventory moves in the MIS, and record daily downtime. Perform equipment cleaning, cut cores per work orders, and ensure safe workplace habits. Maintain clean lines in the manufacturing area and participate in Kaizen and lean events. Be a certified forklift driver with above-average math and reading skills. Work a full schedule including overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Be a certified forklift driver
- Must possess above average math and reading skills
- Requires the ability to complete paperwork accurately and timely
- Requires good hand/eye coordination and good vision
- Must be a self-starter and team oriented
- Must be conscious of all safety aspects affecting the manufacturing operations
- Forklift Licensed
- Packaging Experience
- Machine Setups for Production Runs
