Production Operator

Job Summary
Set up and operate production equipment across spooling, extrusion/expansion, and cutting processes while monitoring machine performance and adjusting for quality and efficiency. Position, adjust, and manually feed materials to complete work orders, read specifications, and load spools for packaging. Inspect completed workpieces for defects, forecast production needs, and communicate equipment issues to supervisors for resolution. Adhere to all safety rules and SOPs, participate in Health, Safety & Environmental initiatives, and support continuous improvement efforts. Provide training to new employees and flex across different production roles based on team demands.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read gauges, perform measurements, and calculate differences to specifications
- Basic computer skills with ability to input production data into tracking systems
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and safety
- Effective communication and active listening skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- High level of manual dexterity, motivation, and willingness to learn
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Visual ability to inspect and evaluate materials for quality
- Ability to lift materials up to 50 lbs
