Job Summary
Conduct milk intake and production operations at the Wensleydale Creamery site in Hawes, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures and Safe Systems of Work. Perform visual line quality checks, verify cleaning and sanitization chemicals, and report any food safety or health & safety non-conformances. Ensure all cleaning is performed and verified during and after manufacturing while meeting KPIs and food hygiene requirements. Work a 5-week shift pattern including four weeks of 10-hour days, one week of 5-day earlies from 2am to 10:30am, and one weekend shift. Hourly rate of £13.88 with 25 holidays plus 8 bank holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Able to demonstrate good communication skills
- A solid level of written and spoken English
- Skilled and experienced in manual handling
- Able to follow basic instructions and adhere to standard procedures
- Appropriate levels of numeracy and literacy as required for the role
- Trained or experienced in basic Food & Hygiene Level 2
- Trained or experienced in Health & Safety Level 2
- Shift Pattern: The role is to work on a 5-week shift pattern in the milk reception area
- Four of those weeks are 4 x 10 hour days
- The fifth week is 5 x days on 'earlies'- working from 2am-10.30am
- Working one weekend in five, in an 8-hour shift
Desired Qualifications
- Trained or experienced in basic Food & Hygiene Level 2 and Health & Safety Level 2 (desirable)
