Production Operator (Passivation)

Job Summary
Operate passivation tanks and related equipment while loading, unloading, and preparing metal parts for processing. Monitor chemical solutions, adjust processes for efficiency, and inspect parts before and after treatment to ensure quality standards. Record production information accurately, safely handle chemicals, and maintain a clean, organized work area. Perform routine equipment checks, report maintenance concerns, and conduct pressure testing on parts and assemblies. Monitor gauges and testing equipment during hydrostatic and pneumatic tests, identifying and reporting defects. Cross-train in additional testing processes such as Helium Testing to expand skills. Work closely with production and quality teams to meet customer requirements and goals in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to follow work instructions, procedures, and safety guidelines
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Basic computer skills for entering production information
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High School Diploma or GED
- Attendance on a regular, consistent basis
- Standing and walking throughout the shift
- Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and moving materials
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
- Working in a fast-paced production environment
- Exposure to varying temperatures and typical manufacturing noise levels
Desired Qualifications
- Manufacturing, production, metal finishing, chemical handling, or industrial experience
- Experience with passivation, pickling, plating, or metal finishing operations
- Forklift certification
- Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO 9001
- Experience performing pressure or leak testing
- Cross-training in additional testing processes, including Helium Testing
