Job Summary
Bend, cut, bundle and load reinforcing steel bars in accordance with customer orders. Operate a shearing machine to cut bars, a bending machine to shape bars, and an overhead crane to move and assemble material for fabrication or shipping. Use a Fabmatic machine for cutting/bending shapes and a power saw for lengths. Apply epoxy touch up or reinforcing steel bars with a spray gun. Unload trailers, store materials, assemble/load orders onto trailers, maintain a clean and safe work area, and support other team members as needed. Must adhere to safety programs and demonstrate safety-conscious behavior. Shift is 3pm-11pm; overtime and production bonuses available; a comprehensive benefits package is described. Must be able to pass a hair-follicle drug screen and meet physical requirements including some heavy lifting. Interpreted responsibilities emphasize safety, equipment operation (shearing, bending, crane, Fabmatic, spray gun), material handling, and teamwork in a steel fabrication environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
- Must have a high school diploma, GED or local/state equivalent
- Must have basic math skills to be able to calculate bar measurements
