Job Summary
Production Operator at Hershey Memphis Plant responsible for operating processing/packaging equipment and a forklift, conducting quality checks (metal detectors, date codes, weight systems), and following GMP/safety and housekeeping standards. Requires ability to read/write English, lift up to 50 lbs, and work flexible shifts including overtime and weekends; training includes pre-hire assessment and on-site interview with post-offer drug screen and background checks. Eligible for benefits from day one and potential for schedule/bid changes after one year.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must possess a high school diploma/GED
- Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English
- Must be flexible to work any shift during a 24-hour period (1st, 2nd, 3rd) and any variation of shift length (8 hours or 12 hours)
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays and overtime
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must have the ability to understand and perform basic mathematics
- Must possess basic computer knowledge with ability to find and enter information
- Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and support staff
- Must participate in problem resolution
- Experience in a manufacturing/food manufacturing environment including GMP, SQF, Autonomous/Preventative Maintenance, Continuous Improvement, SAP/LPR (preferred)
