Job Summary
Read work orders or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials for movement within the plant, yard, or work site. Load and unload materials onto pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand, then convey and secure them to designated areas. Drive industrial lift trucks, electric carts, and company vehicles while performing routine preventive maintenance on equipment. Count, weigh, and record unit movements to stock requisition or Kanban records, attach identifying tags, and stack or assemble materials into bundles. Clean work areas, handle spills, and wrap various units as required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or GED
- 1+ years of assembly experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment
- Ability to use tools and equipment that are needed to perform the assembly operations in an industrial setting
- Good listening and communication skills
- Ability to work well with others to be a good team player
- Ability to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
- Ability to talk or hear
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
- Close vision
- Ability to work at various heights from a step ladder, mobile or fixed ladder, or scaffold platforms
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Successful completion of a drug screen (as applicable)
- Successful completion of a fitness for duty test (as applicable)
