Job Summary
Operate and monitor automated and manual feed mill equipment (grinders, mixers, pellet mills, conveyors) to process raw materials into high-quality livestock feed, including loading/unloading ingredients, monitoring batching for accuracy, and maintaining equipment and sanitation. Maintain accurate production records, follow safety protocols (lockout/tagout, PPE), conduct routine equipment checks, and support quality control and inventory tasks. The role involves working in a fast-paced, safety-focused team environment with potential for weekend or overtime shifts and local travel to other sites as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in feed milling, agriculture, food production, or manufacturing is preferred
- Ability to operate forklifts, loaders, and other mill equipment (certification is a plus)
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment operation
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Comfortable with shift work, weekends, or overtime as needed
