Job Summary
Operate all equipment necessary to package finished goods in a batch process within a chemical manufacturing environment. Set-up, adjust, perform changeovers, monitor, and troubleshoot production line equipment while following Bill of Materials, Batch Sheets, and Standard Operating Procedures. Communicate with Supervisors and facility leadership regarding safety, production, quality, or operational issues. Package batches adhering to safety, quality, and efficiency standards by maintaining clean work areas per 5S protocol and wearing proper PPE including half-face respirators when required. Work consistent Tuesday-Friday 6:00 AM-4:30 PM schedule with pay range $20.40-$27.60. Assist in identifying quality problems relating to fill weights, package appearance, and labeling.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to climb stairs, stand or sit for extended periods of time, and safely lift up to 55 lbs. repetitively
- Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time
- Ability to work a consistent schedule of: Tuesday-Friday 6:00 AM- 4:30 PM
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent education preferred
- 6 months work experience in a chemical environment preferred
- Forklift operation experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of computers
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and basic math
- Ability to work as a member of a team
