Job Summary
Operate complex production equipment to manufacture technical ceramics and metals per work order specifications, adjusting machines and contacting supervisors as needed. Inspect parts for quality compliance, taking corrective action on non-conforming items and recommending solutions. Transfer parts between processes via computer software and load, unload, and stack product using hand-trucks, forklifts, cranes, or hoists. Maintain work area cleanliness and train incoming operators on procedures while wearing required personal protective equipment. Requires 12-hour weekend shifts (Friday through Sunday, 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.) and high school diploma or equivalent.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 1-year applicable manufacturing experience
- Understand and act on verbal and/or written instructions
- Read/interpret standard and metric measurements
- Intermediate math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
- Deep knowledge of handheld measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, drop gauges, and advanced measuring equipment such as SmartScope or CMM
- Use Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing to read and understand the relationship between complex blueprints and parts
- Must exhibit attention to detail
- Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds
- Weekend Shift Nights: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 6:00pm - 6:00pm 12 hour shifts
