Job Summary
Operate multiple complex production equipment to manufacture technical ceramics and metals per work order specifications, adjusting machines and contacting personnel as needed. Inspect parts against quality standards, taking corrective action and recommending solutions for non-compliant items. Transfer parts to subsequent processes via computer software and load, unload, and stack product using hand-trucks, forklifts, cranes, or hoists. Maintain work area cleanliness and train incoming operators on processes. Wear required personal protective equipment at all times. Perform these duties during weekend night shifts from Friday through Sunday, 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., in a team environment focused on safety and customer specifications.
Required Qualifications
- Weekend Shift Nights: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 6:00pm - 6:00pm 12 hour shifts
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not necessary
- A minimum of 1-year applicable manufacturing experience
- Understand and act on verbal and/or written instructions
- Read/interpret standard and metric measurements
- Intermediate math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
- Deep knowledge of handheld measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, drop gauges, and advanced measuring equipment such as SmartScope or CMM
- Use Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing to read and understand the relationship between complex blueprints and parts
- Must exhibit attention to detail as well as excellent listening skills
- Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds
- Must wear required personal protective equipment at all times in areas where mandatory
