Production Operator II - Swing

Job Summary
Operate multiple basic production machines and complex technical equipment to manufacture parts in compliance with work order instructions, making adjustments as needed. Inspect parts for quality and customer specifications, taking appropriate action on non-conforming items. Transfer parts to the next process via computer software and load, unload, and stack product using hand-trucks, forklifts, cranes, or hoists. Maintain work area cleanliness and train incoming operators on processes and procedures. Shift runs Monday through Friday from 2:00pm to 10:00pm EST, with day shift training provided for four to six weeks.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of six (6) months manufacturing experience
- Understand and act on verbal and/or written instructions
- Read/interpret standard and metric measurements
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
- Knowledge of handheld measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, drop gauges, etc.
- Assess product quality deficiencies to determine disposition; reporting to appropriate person
- Must exhibit attention to detail
- Excellent listening skills
- Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds
- Shift: Monday - Friday, 2:00pm - 10:00pm EST
- Wears required personal protective equipment at all times in areas where mandatory
