Job Summary
Assembles medical products on an assembly operation, performing a variety of tasks on a rotating basis. Rotates through the assembly line, performs on-line and in-process visual inspection to ensure specifications, assists with product and/or machine change-overs, ensures assembled products meet quality standards, rejects nonconforming products, adheres to safety standards, may operate testing equipment for periodic product/process testing, and may work overtime. Requires dexterity and fine motor skills, the ability to read/understand work instructions, and strong teamwork to assemble sterile medical products and meet line-rate expectations. Working environment may involve exposure to noise, chemical vapors, and soldering fumes; lifting up to 50 lbs may be required; English/Spanish language proficiency preferred. Required Qualifications
- Must be able to read, write and speak English, Spanish or meet local language requirement.
- Demonstrates competencies and ability to rotate in a specific assembly line or work cell.
- Ability to perform a variety of assembly tasks requiring dexterity and fine motor skills.
- Ability to visually check work performed and identify whether a product has been assembled correctly.
- Ability to follow instructions in performing repetitive tasks.
- Attentiveness in performing tasks.
- Ability to work as a member of a team in assembling sterile medical products.
- Ability to meet line rate expectations.
- Three months of experience, preferably in manufacturing.
- Three to six months of longevity in the same company.
- At the Corporate site, if the position is on a Spanish-language line, it is preferred that the individual be Spanish speaking or bilingual (English/Spanish).
