PRODUCTION OPERATOR I - WEEKEND DAY SHIFT 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM (SPARKS, NV)

Job Summary
Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements, then activate machines and observe operations to detect defects or malfunctions. Inspect finished products for accuracy, perform minor maintenance such as oiling and adjustments, and assist coworkers with setup, stacking, marking, packing, and transporting goods. Reduce downtime by completing these tasks promptly while complying with safety and GMP requirements. Actively participate in the safety program by engaging in training, reporting hazards, and communicating safety information to new employees. This weekend day shift role (6:00 AM – 6:30 PM) supports production operations in Sparks, NV, with a high school diploma or GED and six months of related experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- six months related experience and/or training
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to other employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Basic understanding of mechanical principles
- Ability to troubleshoot and adjust machine
- Must be able to lift, move (in some cases drag items), slide, raise and/or place up to 30 lb. force for up to 25 feet
- Must be able to lift, move (in some cases drag items), slide, raise and/or place up to 33 lbs. from 5 inches off ground and raise to 47 inches
- Must be able to lift, move (in some cases drag items), slide, raise and/or place up to 50 lbs. for 3 feet at waist level
- Must be able to lift, move (in some cases drag items), slide, raise and/or place up to 60 lbs. from 31-inch-high shelf
- Must be able to work near moving mechanical parts
- Must be able to be frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles
- Must be able to tolerate a noise level that is usually moderately loud
- Must be available for weekend day shift 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM
- Must be located in Sparks, NV
