Job Summary
Load and unload high-pressure gas cylinders onto and off delivery trucks, ensuring all actions comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Organize various gases and cylinder sizes onto pallets to minimize load footprint, sort incoming empty cylinders, and verify truck inventory. Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks while inspecting and replacing straps on cylinder pallets. Maintain a safe work environment by reading and interpreting cylinder labels and color-coding. Prepares outbound shipments for delivery trucks, adhering to all governmental, Airgas, and distributor standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform heavy work – routinely lifts 25 – 75 lbs., and occasionally lifts 76 to greater than 100 lbs.
- Valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future
- Ability to read and comprehend all written and computer generated documentation
- Ability to drive a forklift
