Job Summary
Production Operator I on 1st shift responsible for prepping, handling, freeze-drying and de-traying meat products, packaging, and fulfilling customer orders. Maintains cleanliness and adheres to food-safety and quality standards, operates equipment, weighs trays, assists in other production areas as needed, and participates in safety training to ensure proper handling of meat and a pathogen-free facility.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift at least 60 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot freeze-dryers
- Knowledge of meat handling procedures
- Ability to follow safety and quality protocols
- Must be able to work on 1st shift
- Ability to read and follow production schedules
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Attention to detail in packaging and labeling
