Job Summary
Operates production lines and performs changeovers on assigned equipment, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency goals are met. Prepares and cleans work areas, conducts quality checks on ingredients and finished products, documents production activities, and participates in root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives. Requires understanding of SOPs/GMPs, ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipment, and readiness to operate packaging/processing machinery with certification as applicable. Includes lifting and moving materials, using lift trucks/hand jacks, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Certification as a Machine Operator in Packaging and/or Processing areas (any combination)
- Previous experience in manufacturing environment preferred
- Ability to operate blending/processing and/or packaging equipment
- Ability to perform sanitation and changeover of equipment
- Strong documentation skills (paperwork and data entry)
- Ability to read and comprehend SOPs and safety rules
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production goals
- Flexibility to work weekends
- Basic computer and data entry skills
