Job Summary
Conduct compounding, weighing, mixing, and processing of materials while ensuring safe equipment operation throughout the facility. Check raw materials for contamination using color perception, weigh and mix ingredients per formulations, and visually inspect mixing consistency for each batch. Operate equipment according to standard procedures, maintain clean mill and mixer areas between batches, and monitor mixing conditions to adjust bulk oil setups as needed. Report inconsistencies, process changes, or problems immediately to the Production Supervisor and verify all safety protocols and PPE compliance before proceeding.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 55 pounds regularly as part of daily production activities
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions
- Ability to visually identify color differences in finished goods and to check material for contaminants or inconsistencies
- Ability to perform basic math (i.e., addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Good cooperation and collaboration skills
- Good organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
- High degree of concentration with attention to detail, high energy and self-motivated
- Ability to manage demands and deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events through organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interact well with all personality types
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent is desired
- One (1) year manufacturing experience is preferred
- Good computer/systems skills - MS Office (Excel/Word/Outlook)
