Production Operator Extrusion Support Role

Extrusion Technician Support Role on 3rd shift responsible for assisting in set-up and operation of the extrusion process to cook and shape ingredients into kibble, dry the kibble, apply fat coating, and cool products. Ensure product quality and CCP measures meet standards while maintaining a clean work environment. Tasks include consulting with the Extrusion Process Technician to set shift priorities, performing CCP product testing and maintaining Product Logs per SOPs, using the ERP system to issue and inventory department items, managing dry and liquid dosing systems, assisting with equipment set-up/tear-down, identifying food-safety concerns and resolving them, participating in annual physical inventory, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies. Requirements include 2-3 years’ experience operating food processing machinery, mechanical aptitude, forklift experience (asset), strong problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and the ability to lift up to 25 kg. Working conditions are a pet food production environment with exposure to dust, noise, odors, and varying temperatures.
