Job Summary
Mix and blend chemical products to produce diluted and manufactured final products while ensuring they meet specification through process data and testing. Operate forklifts and industrial equipment to transport materials, stage products for delivery, and manage receiving and shipping logs. Load and unload liquid and dry chemicals from trucks, tankers, and railcars, including climbing tanks to monitor operations and inspecting vehicles before and after transfers. Repackage materials into proper containers, maintain accurate inventory counts, and ensure warehouse cleanliness and safety by reporting spills and managing hazardous waste. Work in a fast-paced environment requiring physical stamina, attention to detail, and strict compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or US military experience
- Possess or able to pass exam to obtain Forklift Operators certification
- Ability to read, comprehend and carry out detailed and simple instructions in English
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
- Ability to learn and operate technology-based devices such as smart phones, tablets, computers, PLCs, operational technology equipment, etc.
- Must be available to work any days of the week, any assigned 8-12 hour shift
- Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed
- Good safety and attendance record
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Must pass E-verify check
- Must be capable of attaining a TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credential) card
- Able to pass company physical and all training requirements
- Able to perform all functions of loading, unloading, packaging, stacking, palletizing, storage, and movement of material
- Able to utilize tools and equipment as necessary to perform job tasks
- Able to stand and walk for long periods of time, up to 95% of day
- Must be able to operate standing & sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks and drum pickers
- Must be able to climb stairs and ladders to the top of tanks, tankers and rail cars
- Able to work in outside weather conditions from 10% to 75% of the time, sometimes in extreme weather conditions
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment, which may include a respirator
- Must comply with placarding rules when loading or unloading trucks
- Must participate in ongoing safety program including safety meetings and trainings
- Must observe, follow and enforce all company policies and procedures
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in working with chemical operations (2+ years)
