Job Summary
Mix and blend chemical products, loading and unloading trucks, tankers, and railcars while operating forklifts and industrial equipment. Repackage and label materials, maintain precise inventory records, and verify product against shipping documents. Manually stage raw materials and finished goods, operate powered lift trucks, and handle hazardous waste in compliance with regulations. Clean the warehouse, report spills immediately, and perform general maintenance duties as assigned. Work any assigned 8-12 hour shift, including weekends and overtime, with a requirement for a TWIC card at MTSA facilities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or US military experience
- Possess or able to pass exam to obtain Forklift Operators certification and demonstrate ability to operate a forklift safely
- Ability to read, comprehend and carry out detailed and simple instructions in English and write simple correspondence
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
- Ability to learn and operate technology-based devices such as smart phones, tablets, computers, PLCs, operational technology equipment, etc.
- Must be available to work any days of the week, any assigned 8-12 hour shift
- Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed
- Good safety and attendance record
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Must pass E-verify check
- Must be capable of attaining a TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credential) card for participating MTSA facilities within Brenntag
- Able to pass company physical and all training requirements, including wearing Personal Protective Equipment, which may include a respirator
- Able to perform all functions of loading, unloading, packaging, stacking, palletizing, storage, and movement of material
- Able to utilize tools and equipment as necessary to perform job tasks
- Standing and walking for long periods of the day, up to 95%
- Must be able to operate standing & sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks and drum pickers
- Must be able to climb stairs and ladders to the top of tanks, tankers and rail cars
- Frequently exposed to outside weather (from 10% to 75% of the time) sometimes in extreme weather conditions
Desired Qualifications
- Candidates with prior experience in working with chemical operations (2+ years) may be considered if education or service requirements are not fully met
