Production Operator- Blast 1st Shift

Job Summary
Production Operator on 1st shift responsible for loading/unloading parts into blast equipment and operating both automated and hand blasting in a miniature blast cabinet. Uses a crane to load/unload parts, measures blast profile with compression tape, visually inspects parts for cleanliness and coverage, records results (operator #, work order, operation, release, quantities accepted/rejected, discrepancy code), performs basic equipment maintenance, maintains a clean work area, and follows the cell leader instruction to prioritize work. Requires basic blueprint reading, math skills (fractions/ decimals), ability to read measuring instruments (tape measure, mil thickness gauge, calipers), and standing for 8 hours. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Must be able to lift parts weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance
- Must have basic blueprint reading skills
- Must have basic math skills including addition / subtraction of fractions and decimal values
- Must have ability to read measuring instruments (tape measure, mil thickness gauge, calipers)
- Must have basic reading/writing ability to read/manufacturing orders and material requirements
- Must be able to stand for 8 hours per day
