Job Summary
Production Operator needed to perform pre- and post-operative equipment inspections, safely operate manufacturing equipment, conduct service/inspections, monitor performance to minimize downtime, ensure equipment is cleaned and stored properly, follow quality control protocols, and adhere to safety and regulatory requirements. Requires a high school diploma or GED, 2 years of equipment-operating experience, English proficiency, ability to work on-site in Portsmouth, VA, and willingness to work OT. Must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work a Tuesday–Friday 7PM–7AM schedule. The role emphasizes independent initiative within a team setting and contributing to reliable operations in a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Equivalent of high school diploma or GED certification
- Two years (2) experience operating similar or manufacturing equipment
- The ability to speak, read, and write in English
- Understand and follow company safety procedures
- Demonstrate initiative to work independently while flexible enough to work in team setting
- Regular and predictable on-site attendance
- Overtime and call-in work may be required
