Job Summary

Observe safety procedures, maintain a clean work area, and apply quality instructions to monitor production and packing operations for quality objectives. Load and unload material into and from equipment while working as a team member through information sharing, problem solving, and assisting others. Follow process standards to ensure quality products are produced, perform data entry and recording of required tests, and adjust processes as necessary. Handle hazardous waste material in accordance with federal and state regulations and maintain excellent housekeeping. This role requires a 12-hour day and night rotating shift (approximately 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM & 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM), including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed. Applicants must possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher, at least one year of plant or manufacturing experience, and be 18 years of age or older.

Required Qualifications

  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
  • Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Ability to work a 12-hour day and night rotating shift (approximately 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM & 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
  • Ability to work overtime work, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Minimum one (1) year of plant and/or manufacturing experience in a public, private, government, or military environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status

Desired Qualifications

  • Post-high school education
  • Experience with control charting, material handling, packaging, chemical manufacturing, and hazardous waste management
  • Experience working with computers in a manufacturing setting
  • Attention to detail, prioritization, self-motivation, teamwork, problem solving, analytical thinking, effective communication skills, strong work ethic, initiative, and a focus on safety
  • Basic understanding of Lean principles
  • Operate PLC or DCS controls, hand tools, various powered trucks, valves, and some test equipment; set up and operate equipment where moderate adjustment is required
  • Close attention to detail, such as process conditions, is required at all times to avoid costly rework, production delays, safety incidents or scrap; continuously monitor equipment, process and product quality; ability to operate in an environment where complex machine operations happen simultaneously; ability to plan ahead in the process and production schedule to complete tasks in a timely fashion; execute proper in‐process tests
